Overview
A National Consulting firm is seeking an Assistant Director of eDiscovery Services in their NY office. The Assistant Director will report directly to the Director of eDiscovery Services and help oversee the entire life cycle of eDiscovery engagements assigned to your teams. This person must confidently manage multiple priorities in a demanding and deadline-driven environment to successful conclusion. He/She will also manage and mentor multiple eDiscovery Project Managers and their teams.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure data conversion, database creation, data deliveries, and quality
control policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor and audit project tracking and reporting and quality control
forms
- Review overtime and billing for accuracy
- Oversee the preparation and dissemination of daily project updates
- Communicate with internal and external clients on needs, deadlines, and
budgets. Respond to product questions, providing concise explanations to
technical questions. Assist with strategic planning for executing
eDiscovery engagements
- Investigate and resolve project challenges. Proactively implement
solutions that will work in the long term
- Research and report on industry advancements and best practices
- Create and lead eDiscovery trainings with respect to eDiscovery policies,
procedures, best practices, and technology solutions
- Provide recommendations to the eDiscovery Development team on the
firm’s eDiscovery platforms based on personal experience and
expertise, research, and client feedback
- Partner with technical teams to improve, scale, and enhance our
eDiscovery products
- Provide written and oral year-end performance evaluations to team
members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution or
additional relevant experience. Master’s Degree in a related field is
a plus
- 5-7 years of eDiscovery, litigation support, project management, and
legal database experience, with at least 3 of those years in a Management
position
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Deep understanding of E-Discovery platforms and litigation databases
- Well developed analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail
- Superior written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation
skills
- Successful track record of managing eDiscovery projects of all sizes and
durations
- Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical teams
